Ahok: We Are Still Not Yet Independent

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) said, until now, some residents in Jakarta are not yet independent. This is because they are still manipulated by unscrupulous apparatus or community organizations.

Although Indonesia is already at 70th, a lot of Jakarta residents are not independent yet from manipulation action by apparatus and community organizations

"Although Indonesia is already at 70th, a lot of Jakarta residents are not independent yet from manipulation action by apparatus and community organizations. They control the traders stall to sell, only for profit," said Ahok, in his speech when he led a ceremony of 70th Indonesia Independence Day in Silang Monas, Monday (8/17).

According to him, it is not much different with the colonial era by paying tribute. Those who are still renting stall and illegal parking will be eradicated.
